ABOUT THE TOUR
The West Berkeley Wine Block Tour showcases nationally-acclaimed natural wine makers who call this funky neighborhood hub home. Join us for a three-hour stroll around this novel drinking destination for a deep immersion into the growing natural wine movement.
Meet the pioneers from this cluster of urban natural wineries, learn about their wine-making philosophies, and hear about the history and evolution of this industrial corner of the Gilman District. Most importantly, we’ll sip a range of diverse drops in stylish tasting room settings. Wines in the mix may include unique white varietals from Donkey & Goat, unexpected reds from Broc Cellars, quirky orange wines (and no, they’re not made from oranges), bubbles from Hammerling Wines, and co-fermentations from Vinca Minor. We’ll pair these wines with hearty snacks from beloved local chefs and food producers, such as hummus and olives from Standard Fare, locally made cheeses and charcuteries, Japanese marinated vegetables from Daruma Kiosk, and more.
